About Us

The owners of Bruce Balm moved from Oregon to Maui in 2017 and saw something that devastated them. Due to the carelessness of tourism, the reefs surrounding the island were being bleached at a rapid rate. After witnessing this first hand, they decided to take a stand against commercial sunscreens and devise their own natural alternative. Many long hours of research began thereafter.

Upon returning to Oregon, they began the process of designing their unique recipe, and testing its efficacy. Finally, after several experimental stages, they discovered the perfect formula. 

Thus, Bruce Balm was born.
